Rest ~ Renew ~ Grow
14 week Kids Yoga Program that mirrors the change of seasons and instills their lessons
This Three Part Program will be split into monthly themes as we move through each season
"Seasons change. Leaves let go. Roots Deepen and the Tree Grows"
February & March
Part one: REST
During the colder winter months we will explore the theme of REST. Our topics, welcome circle, and yoga during this time will mirror Mother Nature here in Winnipeg. We will get curious about what rest looks like, feels like and its benefits. Our practice will be centred around restorative yoga. Mellow vibes and lots of opportunities to connect with our peers. Introduction to how journalling and mindfulness tools can guide us into a deeper relaxation.
"Stillness is where creativity and solutions are found"
"Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths"
Part Two: RENEW
Spring renewal! We will align with fresh springtime energy through yoga poses and mindfulness activities. Spring is the time of renewal and new beginnings. We will discuss how when we go through changes and challenges we find new discoveries about ourselves and the world around us! This month our yoga will have longer standing practice with dynamic movements, and will approach yoga postures in new ways! We will weave the theme of growth while planting seeds of self love.
"It's your time to BLOOM"
"Our Mind is a Garden. Our thoughts are the seeds"
May & June
Part Three: GROW
Our final section is all about gratitude and basking in the sun! We will celebrate our unique gifts and self to our group. Our yoga will be vinyasa style with lots of movement and fiery core practices. We will reflect on the growth of our seeds in part two and apply it to connect deeper to self, others and the community around us. We will discuss topics of "why" we do yoga, rather than "how" we do yoga. This portion of the series will have a yoga karma outing where we will go out into Sage Creek community, as kindness warriors.
